The pain in my ears is excruciating?

I've been really sick for the past few days with the swine flu, part of which includes a stuffy nose and sinus pressure, which leads to ear pain. And, right now, it's 1:30 am and my ears are hurting intensely and I just want to go to sleep. I took some medicine, but it will take a while to have effect. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain right now so I can get to sleep?
